- Job Overview
Splash Investments Limited is a financial and remittance services company headquartered in Wakefield, Trelawny, and part of a growing group of companies serving businesses and communities across Jamaica. Through our franchise and agency partnerships, we deliver money transfer and remittance services, personal and small loan products, and shipping and courier solutions. As we expand our footprint across the Western Region, we are seeking a driven, results-obsessed sales professional to take our products directly to the businesses and customers who need them.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Group Sales Executive is an aggressive, high-energy field sales role responsible for driving revenue growth across two product lines: our Franchise Partner’s Personal & Small Loan Products, and the group’s Shipping & Courier Services. This is not a desk job. You will spend the majority of your time in the field — visiting companies, business districts, and commercial hubs across the Western Region — prospecting, pitching, closing, and building a book of business from the ground up.
The role is built for a self-starter who thrives on targets, is energized by rejection-to-close ratios, and is comfortable with the majority of their earnings coming directly from their own performance. The harder and smarter you sell, the more you earn — your income potential is uncapped.
- Responsibilities/Duties
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development
- Aggressively prospect, identify, and pursue new business opportunities for personal and small loan products and shipping/courier services across the Western Region.
- Conduct daily field visits to companies, business owners, staff associations, and commercial establishments to promote the group’s full suite of services.
- Deliver compelling product presentations and one-on-one pitches to decision-makers, employee groups, and prospective borrowers.
- Generate, qualify, and convert leads into completed loan applications and shipping/courier accounts, consistently meeting or exceeding weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Negotiate and close corporate partnership arrangements (e.g., payroll-deduction loan schemes and preferred courier arrangements with employers).
- Cross-sell and upsell across the group’s product suite, including remittance and money services, wherever opportunities arise.
Territory & Pipeline Management
- Plan and execute structured route and territory coverage across St. James, Hanover, Westmoreland, Trelawny, and St. Elizabeth to maximize daily customer-facing time.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking every prospect from first contact through to disbursement or account activation.
- Submit accurate weekly sales activity reports, pipeline updates, and market intelligence to management.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to drive repeat borrowing, referrals, and recurring courier volume.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all loan applications are complete, accurate, and fully documented in accordance with the Franchise Partner’s lending criteria and procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all applicable regulatory, anti-money laundering (AML/KYC), and data protection requirements in the handling of customer information.
- Represent the company’s brands professionally and ethically at all times.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Number of loan applications generated and disbursed per month (volume and value).
- New shipping/courier accounts opened and recurring shipment volume generated.
- Number of daily/weekly field visits and presentations completed.
- Conversion rate from lead to closed sale.
- Corporate/payroll-deduction partnerships secured.
- Client retention, repeat business, and referral generation.
- Skills & Certifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of three (3) years’ proven success in field sales, preferably in micro-lending, consumer finance, banking, insurance, telecommunications, or courier/logistics services.
- A demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding aggressive sales targets — be prepared to show your numbers.
- Associate degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is an asset; a hunter’s track record matters more than paper.
- Sound understanding of loan products, credit fundamentals, and/or logistics services is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency with mobile technology and basic reporting tools (WhatsApp Business, spreadsheets, CRM applications).
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Must own and operate a reliable motor car — this is non-negotiable, as the role requires daily travel throughout the Western Region.
- Valid Jamaican driver’s licence and up-to-date motor vehicle documentation (registration, fitness, insurance).
- Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, the Montego Bay / St. James area.
- Must be fully comfortable with a compensation structure in which the majority of earnings are performance-based commission.
- Clean police record and strong professional references.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Relentless drive, resilience, and a genuine hunger to close — you treat “no” as “not yet”.
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage everyone from a shop-floor worker to a managing director.
- Self-discipline and the ability to manage your own time, routes, and pipeline in the field with minimal supervision.
- High personal integrity — you will be handling sensitive financial information and representing trusted brands.
- Strong local knowledge of the Western Region’s business landscape.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Modest base salary plus an aggressive, uncapped commission structure — the majority of your earnings will come from your performance.
- Commission paid on disbursed loans and activated shipping/courier business, with accelerators for exceeding monthly targets.
- Travel allowance toward the operation of your motor vehicle.
- Performance incentives, bonuses, and recognition for top performance.
- Real opportunity for advancement as the group expands its sales operations across Jamaica.
- Working Conditions
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a field-based role. The Group Sales Executive will spend the substantial majority of each working day travelling within the Western Region, visiting client sites, businesses, and commercial areas, in all weather conditions. Working hours will flex around client availability, which may occasionally include early mornings, evenings, or weekend business events. The role is based out of Montego Bay, St. James.
