The Junior Architect will support the design and execution of hotel development projects from concept through construction. The role involves assisting senior architects and project managers in preparing drawings, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring that design intent is properly translated into construction documentation.
- Responsibilities/Duties
- Design & Documentation
- Assist in preparing architectural drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Develop concept sketches, plans, elevations, and 3D models.
- Produce construction drawings and detailed design packages.
- Modify designs based on feedback from senior architects and project stakeholders.
- Project Coordination
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and interior design consultants.
- Participate in design meetings and project reviews.
- Ensure alignment between architectural design and hotel brand standards.
- Site & Construction Support
- Assist in reviewing contractor drawings and material submissions.
- Support site inspections and progress monitoring.
- Help ensure construction follows approved architectural plans.
- Research & Compliance
- Research local building codes, zoning regulations, and permits.
- Ensure designs comply with safety, accessibility, and sustainability standards.
- Skills & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
- 0–3 years of experience in architecture or hospitality design projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar design software.
- Basic understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working on hospitality, resort, or hotel projects.
- Knowledge of interior coordination for guest rooms and public spaces.
