The Field Collector is responsible for collecting payments from vendors, contractors, and subscription clients within assigned zones. The role ensures timely remittance of outstanding balances, accurate record-keeping of transactions, and maintaining strong customer relationships while representing the company professionally in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily field visits to collect payments from assigned vendors, contractors, and clients.
  • Issue official receipts for all monies collected and ensure accurate reconciliation with accounts.
  • Report delinquent accounts promptly and provide feedback to the Receivables Supervisor for follow-up action.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, contractors, and customers.
  • Ensure collections are handled in a secure, transparent, and accountable manner.
  • Deliver invoices, statements, or notices as instructed by the Receivables Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of collections and submit daily reports.
  • Safeguard company funds during transit and follow established security protocols.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies between customer accounts and company records.
  • Uphold company values and customer service standards in all interactions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum) Degree in. Additional training in accounting, finance, or business administration is an asset.
  • Experience: At least 1–2 years in collections, sales, customer service, or field operations.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable motorbike or vehicle (where applicable).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle cash responsibly and reconcile records accurately.
  • Knowledge of the local geography and assigned routes/zones.
  • Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, and electronic reporting tools).
