- Job Overview
The incumbent is required to provide assistance to the Accountant, specifically in relation to the accounts payable function and to prepare relevant reports.
- Responsibilities/Duties
Manage accounts payable transactions to include:
- Reconciling invoices to GRV or PO.
- Recording and filing (electronic files) all invoices and credit notes.
- Ensure all invoices are settled in a timely manner, subject to cash flow.
- Prepare weekly payment schedule.
- Prepare payment vouchers for approval before payments are made, making payment to suppliers.
- Post all payments.
- Reconcile supplier’s statement on a monthly basis.
- Prepare monthly payables listing.
- Prepare General Ledger journals.
- Prepare audit schedules as requested.
- Assist in scheduled stock count exercises
- Any other duties assigned by your Supervisor/Manager.
- Skills & Certifications
Education
- ACCA Level 11, Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
b. Knowledge
- Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
- Knowledge of Jamaican tax laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Experience
