Auto Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Technician to join our client’s team, a premier luxury transportation company dedicated to providing exceptional service to their clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in high-end vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring the optimal performance of our client’s luxury fleet. Your expertise will help us maintain the highest standards of safety and comfort for our passengers. Requirements:

  • Must be safety-oriented.
  • Must be able to work on shifts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work on any five days of the week including holidays.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be knowledgeable in preventive maintenance.
  • Must be knowledgeable in common rail diesel fuel systems (experience with cummins engines will be an asset).
  • Must be able to diagnose and repair transmissions (manual/automatic. Experience with ZF and Allison will be an asset).
  • Must be able to diagnose and repair the final drive (differential).
  • Must be knowledgeable in pneumatic systems to include air suspension.
  • Received training in electrical and electronic controls and vehicle computer systems testing and diagnosis through schematic reading.
  • Perform vehicle repairs according to manufacturer factory standards through diagnosis and routine inspections.
  • Must be able to diagnose and repair air conditioning systems.
  • Must be able to diagnose and repair engine cooling systems.
  • Must be able to diagnose and repair suspension system to in steering.
  • Experience working on large coaches/buses will be an asset.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative.
  • High School Diploma
  • 3 CXC Passes
  • Punctual and willing to learn

 

The role involves working in a workshop or garage setting, often with exposure to vehicle exhaust, noise, and mechanical equipment. The environment can be fast-paced, with tasks performed both indoors and outdoors, depending on the location of the buses.

Physical Requirements:
The role is physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, lifting, standing, and working in confined spaces under buses. Technicians may handle heavy tools and equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
